There is something very “Godfather 2″ about this picture, snapped before our show at Skinny’s NoHo the other night, as if Michael Corleone has just told Fogelfoot to bump off Fredo on Lake Tahoe.
The woman with Brian is Tanya Melendez, who has ably taken up keyboard duties and deftly offset the violent testosterone rages the band flies into onstage.
The show was great, and we finally got to see Metalachi. We hadn’t really been in the Christmas spirit until we saw Metalachi playing “Feliz Navidad” with two bodypainted strippers and light-up sombreros.
We also debuted two Christmas songs, “(What’s So Funny About) Hamhock Fists” and “Waiting on My Silver Bells,” in which we view Christmas through the eyes of Elvis Costello and Lou Reed, respectively.
Unseasonably angry at yourself for missing this show? Fogelfoot plays its last show of the year at the Univeersal Bar & Grille on December 22. See sidebar for details.
